Our Church


Wellspring Church NYC is rooted in a prophecy
from Isaiah 43:19 

We believe the church is good news to the city. The local church serves as both a preview community and an agent of renewal partnering with God to see His kingdom come. This is why we are here.

"For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland."

Our Values

REVIVE

We want to see the spirit of God REVIVE the hearts of everyday New Yorkers as they move from death to life and come to realize their full redemptive potential in Christ and walking in the power of the spirit. 

RELATE

We seek to RELATE to one another in intentional community. We long for people not just to attend church, but to be the church, creating an alternative culture rooted in the heart of God.

RENEW

We long to join God in the RENEWING of the city around us. From our church we have birthed a community development center bearing the name of this value, RENEW QUEENS, as we seek to renew the neighborhood around us in tangible ways. 

Our Name

Wellspring, means “a source of continual supply.” We believe that Wellspring Church NYC is a place where people come to be filled and sent out. Drawing from the continual life source of Jesus. Living into what Jesus said in John 7:

“…Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” John 7:37-38

Our Beliefs

Wellspring Church NYC believes in the authority of the Christian scriptures for our life and practice, maintaining historical biblical orthodoxy and embracing the activity of the Spirit. We hold to the essential orthodox Christian beliefs as best expressed in the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed.

We are part of the Vineyard Movement, a fellowship of over 500 churches in the U.S. and 2400+ churches globally with shared values and ministry. 

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. The third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.

We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made. Who, for us men for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again, with glory, to judge the quick and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end. And I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of Life; who proceeds from the Father and the Son; who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets. And I believe one holy catholic and apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; and I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
