2024 CHRISTMAS OFFERING: TO THE CITY

At the end of each year we come together as a community through generosity in anticipation of what God is going to do in the year ahead. Our 2024 Christmas Offering, "To the City", is dedicated to care, outreach, and mission. Particular emphasis will be given toward the Cares Network, Renew Queens, our mercy and justice ministries, and benevolence for greater care of our neighbors with the greatest needs.

Let's end the year, and start out 2025 by being generous as our God is generous. We carry a deep desire to see the world around us transformed by the love, justice, and mercy of Jesus through His church.

We believe that Biblical stewardship starts with the obedience in giving a tithe (tithe meaning 10%), but should grow towards radical generosity – giving offerings above and beyond the tithe. As we give, we do so cheerfully (2 Corinthians 9:7) and regularly (I Corinthians 16:2). Yet, we are also called to give sacrificially (Mark 12:41-44). The Wellspring Christmas Offering is a time to give in both a radically generous and sacrificial way above your regular tithes and offerings. This is the time of the year where, in faith, we bring our best gift out of worship, recognizing God has given us more than enough to be able to contribute in some way.

There is no goal dollar amount on the Christmas Offering – this is intentional. This offering is not because we are behind on budget for 2024, but instead will position our church to make greater impact on our community, city, and world in 2025. It will go directly towards accelerating the mission of God as a church and with our mission partners.

We invite you to simply pray and ask God, “What do you want me to give?” and respond with obedience and faith. As we encourage church-wide participation, the issue is not equal giving in dollar amounts, but equal sacrificial obedience.

To enable you the time to respond in obedience and faith, the Wellspring Christmas Offering will run throughout the entire month of December and end on Sunday, January 26th, 2025. However, if you would like your offering to be considered in your 2024 tax-deductible giving statement, the church must receive it by December 31st, 2024. You can give your gifts at separate times over the course of the month, or all at once.

You can give in person by cash, check, or credit card. Please write “Christmas Offering” on the memo line of the giving envelope provided at church.

You can mail your gift to the church offices and note that it is for the Christmas Offering.
