It gives us insight on salvation, living the Christian life, marriage, family, and spiritual warfare. It is a letter to a vibrant church in the midst of a pagan city, seeking to live into the fullness of Christ, their first love, through the power of the Holy Spirit and a life of discipleship. However, this church in Ephesus, as we read in Acts 19, had quite an amazing and disruptive start.
